MARYLAND ORNITHOLOGICAL SOCIETY

The
Maryland
Ornithological Society is a statewide non-profit organization
founded in 1945 and incorporated in 1956 to promote the study
and enjoyment of birds. It is open to anyone who enjoys watching
birds or is interested in the conservation of birds and their
habitats. Statewide activities include an annual conference,
speakers’ bureau, a quarterly journal (Maryland Birdlife),
and a bi-monthly newsletter (The Maryland Yellowthroat) as
well as providing research grants and scholarships. The Society
